Bobby Friction leaves BBC Radio 1

Aug 11 '09 - Written by admin

Its official, Bobby Friction is leaving BBC Radio as of September, 2009.  This news comes after 7 years of him sharing the mic with Nihal hosting their break-through 'Bobby Friction and Nihal Presents...' show which in that time has won them a Sony Gold radio award and greatly contributed to increasing international awareness of the wealth of music being produced by South Asian chaps and lasses from around the world.

Bobby's still going to be hanging around the beeb - but mainly in Birmingham as he continues producing his 'Friction' show on the BBC Asian Network.  If you're a fan, be sure to peep his website for social network links so you can stay in in the loop with the man online.  I recommend keeping track of the discussion about his leaving Radio on Twitter.

BTW y'all, I just got this note from Nihal Arthanayake, Bobby's co-host on Radio1:

"For the record I would like it to be known that I will still be hosting the biggest Asian Music show in the UK on BBC Radio 1. 'Nihal' starts officially on 22nd September on BBC Radio 1. Still droppin asian beats for the masses."

I'll try and get an interview with him about the new solo gig sometime soon to post to the site.

Thanks for the post! I wonder what search engine you use to find the desired film? I use rapidshare SE( http://www.rapidsharemix.com ), and you?
