The Dewarists Episode 1 - Imogen Heap & Vishal Shekhar

A new television series (hosted by Shaair + Func's Monica Dogra) has been commissioned by Star India with the premise of introducing musicians to each other with the aim of collaborating on a single track to be produced at the end of the in-person session and resolve each episode of the show.

First up is an interesting collab between English musical experimentalist Imogen Heap and the Indian (rock) band Pentagram's lead singer Vishal Shekhar.  Though the series does't specifically have a mandate to showcase electronic music, this one episode relates to our mission in eally exhibiting the power of electronic recording and production means for creating aesthetics which otherwise would either take forever to produce or simply not sound as good.

This collaboration yeilded a track called Minds Without Fear - which is quite an epic number which is very layered in its heavy use of percussive samples...

[BTW - if you're wondering about the weird title of this show, its essentially an advertising campaign sponsored by Dewars whisky.]
