Ananda Shankar & State of Bengal - Walking on

From doing a tribute to Ravi Shankar's nephew Ananda at Talvin Singh's Akokha night in the UK, Sam Zaman of State of Bengal soon found himself producing this record with one of his favourite musicians. Zaman learned to play bass in three weeks for the project and despite extremely short deadlines managed to produce an extremely fun album that has oodles of 1960s/70s Bollywood Funk. Not cheesy, but 'paneery.'
