With a musical presence and maturity beyond his experience, Dj Amul is arguably one of the most talented and exciting electronic music acts to develop in recent years. Dj Amul belongs to the exclusive league of Dj’s of the Mumbai scene who play a part in inspiring and setting trends in the fast growing electronic music scene. With a musical presence and maturity beyond his experience, Dj Amul is arguably one of the most talented and exciting electronic music acts to develop in recent years.

Currently, he is one of the resident DJs at Zenzi (www.zenzi-india.com), one of Mumbai's popular venues, which supports & promotes cutting edge music & art. So far he has played with fabulous local & international DJs/artists like DJ Steve, DJ Asad, Helium Project, DJ JC Jason (Trilogy, Dubai), BassSociety aka Dj Nasha, DJ Kris Correya, Dj Robijn (Supperclub, Amsterdam), fusion bands like Ravi Chari Quartet, Dream-Out-Loud and various other singers and percussionists.

Amul began his DJing career at the age of 19 following a chance encounter with senior DJs who helped him hone his skills in DJing with CD players, which was followed by training in turtablism with Grandmaster Jo Azaredo. In his college days, Amul found a variety of opportunities to exhibit his DJing skills in the form of DJing competitions such as the Battle of DJs 2007 & various inter-college competitions.

He is one of the handful DJ’s in India at the top of his game, be it DubStep or Drum-n-Bass. Versatility is his middle name! His strength lies in his immaculate timing and his very own signature style of mixing. He is always on the money with genre’s like Minimal-Tech, Techno & Breakbeat and also chilled out music like Dub, Reggae, R&B, Hip Hop & Funk.

He has gone back to the Azaredo Acoustics "The Pro DJ School", but this time he is gone there to teach. He teaches the art of Dj'ing at the school to breed new talent and make the hopefuls ready for the big stage. (www.azaredo.com)
