The London Mela is committed to highlighting new and emerging talent. The community stage is regarded as the ‘stepping stone stage’ as it showcases future Mela headliners. This year's performers include Jay Kumar's Dance Asia, the Angel Dancers, Threebee and Desi Dholi.
12pm-12.15pm: Compere Jay Kumar
12.15pm-12.20pm, 4.05pm-4.10pm: The Street Dancers present The Urban Flavour
A newly formed group performing hip-hop, street, and jazz dancing.
12.25pm-12.45pm, 7.40pm-7.50pm: DJ Abs and friends
This highly talented new group showcase a fantastic mix of music, rapping, hip-hop and breakdance.
12.50pm-1.05pm, 6.25pm-6.40pm: Desi Dholi
An exciting chance to see Dholi's 'coin dancing'.
1.10pm-1.25pm: Shri Academy of Dance
Dance performances by World Bollywood Dance Champions of 2006.
1.30-1.50pm: Toxic Fy-R
A new company formed by three young performers performing to a variety of dance music and styles.
13.55-2.10pm: Honey's Dance Academy
These dancers are known for their 'vibrant, energetic and enjoyable dances'.
2.15pm-2.30pm: Asian People’s Disability Alliance presents 'Muskaan' Bollywood dances
Muskaan has been established since 1998 and formed by 12 members with disabilities. They bring a spectacular performance of Bollywood dancing.
2.35pm-3.05pm: Threebee present The Bollywood Khidchi
The Bollywood Khidchi is a performance with a fusion of styles of dance from around the world.
3.10pm-3.35pm: Angel Dancers
Performers from ‘East is East’, ‘Bend it like Beckham’ and ‘Bride and Prejudice’ presents fast, upbeat Bollywood tracks.
3.35pm-4pm, 5pm-5.30pm: Jay Kumar’s Dance Asia
One of London’s top Bollywood dance choreographers famed for his own unique brand of interactive dance sessions.
4.15pm-4.30pm: Goldy Goldy Womens Group
A women group focusing on health improvement present to you traditional Boliyan and Gidda.
4.35pm-4.55pm: Jagged Entertainment
Street, sexy and cool. Jagged Entertainment is the freshest sound of urban and Asian dance music.
5.35pm-5.45pm, 6.10pm-6.20pm, 7.10pm-7.20pm: Xtreme Fuzion
Sensational dance group whose talents will amaze you.
5.50pm-6.05pm: Dreemz
A mixture of dance ranging from Kathak to Bharatnatyam, Arabic, Western, Classical and Bollywood.
6.45pm-7.05pm: Panjabi Centre
The Centre presents ‘Jago’ traditional Panjabi folk singing and dancing.
7.25pm-7.35pm: 2NV
Traditional bhangra, dance and drum and bass.
