Nawtiks is a duo who combines the North and South Indian sounds with that of the hard punchy beats and basslines from the West. Their creative endeavors voice their stance on the many issues facing today's world - for music without meaning is simply noise.
Nawtiks have been fusing the Sultry East with the Progressive West to combine their signature sound for the last 13 years. Nik Mutta and Randy Kahlon have a sound and style that's uniquely their own whether it's uptempo drumnbass and jungle or the slow traditional sitar lines, that they carve out or play with instruments.
Like their ancestoral birthplace of the five rivers, each half of this duet approaches their music from a different stream. Nik from the predestined pursuit of spiritual enlightment and Randy from the physical cutting edge of the world. Each of their streams as with water flows together for musical continuity.
Of the five rivers, only two remain flowing carving their mark into the very soul of the Earth. Just as this duet remains breathing life into music in the lands around them.
